Hal and I still live in Tahoe Donner, a small community outside Truckee, Ca. just north of Lake Tahoe. We've been here since July 1996. Summertime we golf 2x/wk.; bike 2x/wk.; kayak 1x/wk. & 2 days/wk., pray for the strength to continue the following week. Winter we snow-shoe; crosscountry "skate-ski" & nordic/classic ski & once or twice downhill ski(alpine). Spring and Fall we return to Tucson where we play golf with Pete Hand and Tee Taylor. And sometimes see Dave Giles biking on Old Spanish Trail--usually we're heading one way in the bike lane and Giles the other way. And it's always great to see the gals at the monthly "ladies' luncheons". Really looking forward to our 50th reunion--Ray Lindstrom is doing such a wonderful job of pulling together bios and email addresses--makes it so easy to communicate. FAMILY: Mother passed away Jan. 2007 from pneumonia. For those of you who knew her and her great sense of humor--the hospital chaplin came in and asked her, "Shirley are you ready to meet the Lord?"--to which my mom answered, "Yes, I'm ready to meet the Lord--just not today!" That was my Mom--great lady; great Mom; great friend. EDUCATION AND CAREER: BA Communications; worked in Advertising until 1990 retirement. Loved the business; love retirement more. |
